hola dearies. sorry havent been talking to u much. havent seen u guys much online either!

its almost 3 wks since ive been here. time does pass by quite fast but i wish it could be faster.
sun rises about 8 and sets about 5 - not used to having so little daylight in the day
weather is nice n sunny these few days - nice to be able to walk in the sunlight n feel a little warmth.

am staying 5 mins from sagrada familia - decent neighbourhood.
the city reminds me of mrs chong n her urban geog - city planning!
its really all grids - with 45 deg angles for corners - my friend says its cos of the trams that used to run .

most neighbourhoods around my area are the same - pharmacy,grocer, hairdresser, bakery, bar, restaurant, supermarket every 1-3 blocks.

we're in a really squeezy apartment - 3 bedroom 5 of us. 1 toilet!
not used to it haha.
after having my own rm for so many yrs - its not tt bad sharing - but it sucks not having ur own personal space to hang clothes even - cant unpack cos the cupboard is so tiny.
the 3 of us girls are taking turns to have the single room - so the nus girl will use it frm now til mid-late feb.her bf is here for the wk (abel from aa3) - leaving saturday.
but saturday some smu ppl goin portugal for exchange r coming to stay for 4 days....sleeping on our sofa bed in the living rm.

i really really miss home (or tim).=( it sucks not being able to share this exciting period with him. he's been wanting this ocbc cycling thing ever since the news came out. am very very happy for him - but this is also a new phase/chapter in our lives - i guess its also good that im here , cos he's going to start being busy with training . but its just a drag tt u cant share such a significant thing with ur significant other in person =p

might be able to come to australia in june - kwa u still goign ? cos if tim isnt able to come to europe - will travel with my parents for about 2 wks in end april n prob will fly back early may.so will save abit on travelling then =)

have been shopping alot - too much actually . haha all charge to card *sheepish* yep but now mostly winter stuff- so only buying essentials + nice cheap shoes - ok i kinda splurged on a zara pair tts 40 sgd. haha but its vvvv nice.

am bored with the lack of food variety-but havent had time to experiment with spanish recipes. we are cooking for 8 min each night - cos us + ntu peeps eat in most nights.
going out tonight cos its cheaper to eat out on wkdays - glad to have a breather from cooking
i enjoy it cos it takes my mind off missing home , but at the same time its frustrating cos i want to cook more variety - but cos we havent had time to go check out the seafood - its a very similar menu most nights with minimal change. im SO sick of pasta already - but its easy n convenient to do for such a large number. rice is complicated cos we're using a microwave pot from tangs - so stick into microwave. i did some in a pot - but it was too watery haha.

have spanish later- school is okae - have made a spanish friend - Ivette. nice girl. haha im trying to convince her to come to singapore. cos she n her family travel alot -they've been to indonesia n myanmar . so i told her singapore should be on her next list =)

internet at our apartment is up, really Thank God that our friend Tze shien was able to solve it - if not callin a technician was 85 euros...
its nice to be connected in ur own home, not having to go to their apartment or having to use other ppls laptops here..

will write again. just finished my brunch cos i went gym a lil later today.got class at 3pm=)
can walk to school (1/2 hour walk) but il see how.its cold cos of the wind !
